PERSONALITY:
Anakin a, to put most concisely, a damn mess.
His impulses for behavior mostly run towards being friendly, open, and compassionate, blindly and even stubbornly helping those in need and it’s often been observed by those who were his caretakers that he was quick to make friends in any given area, except within the Jedi Temple, were he spent most of his time alone. However in the field, with people outside the Temple and Jedi expectations, he’s a friendly, warm young man. His mother taught him ‘The greatest problem in the galaxy is that no one helps each other’ and it’s a lesson Anakin really taken to heart.
It’s not the only lesson Shmi’s Anakin has deeply internalized. ‘I’m a person and my name is Anakin!’ is a remarkably self-possessed and composed statement from a child, especially one who had spent his literal entire life being told he was property. Which is not to say that he doesn’t struggle with it – he’s regressed a great deal between nine and twenty, displaying serious self-doubt, especially when it comes to people who have authority over him (like Obi-Wan) or higher up the social ladder (which he often feels is everyone). Some of this is due to being a poor fit within the Jedi Order but a lot of it stems from Palpatine’s manipulation, encouraging him to doubt the Jedi Order and the Jedi Order seeming to contradict lessons from his mother and his own developing morality.
However, Anakin also has a temper (even if he’s not quite as quick to anger as his reputation suggests, he is extremely quick to frustration – his anxiety also manifests as anger. And Anakin is an extremely anxious young man.) and is more than capable of carrying a grudge, something that marks him as ‘different’ from the other Jedi.
But then, he’s always been marked as different, even as a child. His abilities that his mother hid and helped him learn to hide, his reluctant acceptance into the Jedi, he meteoric rise to knighthood, his piloting skills, his combat prowess, his genus with machinery. Standing out isn’t safe for a slave, isn’t something a Jedi attempts, but Anakin always, somehow, manages. It’s not something he’s comfortable with.
With the Clone War and the pressures (and loses) of combat compounding the trauma of his mother’s death and the trauma of his childhood, Anakin started becoming increasingly moody and even withdrawn. While Obi-Wan’s promotion to the Jedi High Council did help improve their relationship and Anakin’s recent promotion to Jedi Knight has started to improve things as well. And he does in private with Obi-Wan start to come out of his shell, even if he’s still stiff with his men (due to unease in the role) but he only really comes of his shell around Padme. As Obi-Wan would later say, it’s impossible not to notice that she’s the only one who truly makes him happy.
POWER:
Force Powers (canon):
Anakin is the most powerful Jedi to exist at his point in history due to his unusual birth and high midi-chlorian count. This doesn’t mean he is the most skilled Force User, of course. But where he is skilled, he’s rather top of the class.
Most of his skill set comes in the of field of combat and piloting. Using the Force, Anakin can leap or jump several times the distance of a highly trained athlete, sprint at speeds that allows him to catch up with motorized vehicles at low speeds, sense attacks before they happen, deliver blows with more force and accuracy. He’s also an ace pilot for this reason, literally able to sense things before they happen and respond before they become an issue, for instance he’s able to easily operate a pod-racer at nine which reaches speeds of 947 kph without assistance from a droid or computer.
He’s less skilled but still very competent in telekinesis, even if he’s somewhat overconfident and has lost equipment due to overestimating his ability to retrieve things he throws, including his lightsaber. He can, however, expertly apply the principle to himself to allow him to survive falls that are tens of stories with a gentle impact.
Partly due to his compassionate nature, he’s gifted in using the Force to communicate with animals as well, able to calm and direct them (which looks like controlling them), which he doesn’t get much time to practice outside of combat related encounters.
The Force allows practitioners to manipulate their own bodies, which Anakin tends to do in combat to increase his endurance or during his meditation practices to rest and refresh himself without sleep, as he often has difficulty sleeping due to visions from the Force, which he struggles to cope with.
He’s also capable of using the Force to harm others, such as with a Force Choke but it’s very much a Dark Side power and currently, he’s fighting that side of himself hard.
Technological Prowess (non-canon):
Anakin’s natural inclination with technology, he gains some added abilities from the Porter:
Technological Understanding:
While it’s not quite intuitive, Anakin won’t require much instruction when it comes to new technology to learn to use it, almost as if he’s using a half-forgotten piece of equipment or something he read in an ancient manual.
Technological Repair:
Anakin spent his early years repairing droids and other pieces of technology and he’s been able to keep up with the practice while studying at the Temple and now with his mechanical arm (which he loves to tinker with). And while he does have a great deal of experience to draw on, when he’d be otherwise stumped, he’d just have a ‘leap’ of an idea that will turn out right.

Anakin has a mechno-arm that is connected at roughly mid-bicep. It takes specialized tools to work on it and Anakin most often has spare parts (if not a full replacement) nearby. Coming into MoM, he’ll have his specialized spanners and a few replacement parts: the alloy ligaments and black plating.
He’ll also have his lightsaber.
